About
Get to know us.
God has given our church a wonderful faith journey. The First Baptist Church of Clearwater was formed September 9, 1876. The founding members who established our church stated that they had come together "for the purpose of the advancement of the kingdom of Jesus Christ, and we seek to attain this end through the public worship of God, the preaching of the Gospel, consistent Christian living by its members, personal evangelism, missionary endeavors and Christian education."
We believe God is still at work, building our community of faith in Clearwater. We long for it to be a community identified by love: love for God and our neighbor. FBC is a community where we want to lift up Jesus and feast on His Word. We envision a community where each member is using their Spirit-given gifts to serve one another, where we all are involved in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. We envision a community that strives to be authentic, that desires to bring glory to
God, and that depends solely on his all-sufficient grace.
We are thankful for our past, but we are excited for our future. We believe that our best days are ahead and are asking God to do great things in our city. We would love for you to join us on this journey, and grow in your faith with us at FBC Clearwater.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Keith
